    I don’t think the cloud is the answer either. Seems a bit silly to trust all my data to someone else’s computer, and then pay a subscription fee for the privilege! My iMac really, REALLY wants me to sign up for MobileMe, but I just don’t see the point. I’m pretty sure I can handle the sync process between my computer and my iPhone myself, thank you!

    All this cloud talk seems like a way to grab investment dollars. I agree with the theory that the cloud won’t work right now, but in the hands of a megacorporation with shitloads of money, it will flourish. Kind of like the old XBand online gaming service that was out during the 16-bit era. Shitty service, but a solid concept. It wouldn’t be until ten years later that Microsoft would turn that idea into Xbox Live and make it work.

    Ever use email of microsoft Exhange and it’s gone down? Ever had a gmail or hotmail outage? Ever missed WoW/PSN/XBL because of maintainenance?
