Just listened to this one again, and I feel I must run to George's defense. I, too, am an Inverted-Look user, and I can no longer stand by while one of our own is oppressed.

I don't like to use inverted look with a mouse, but it feels natural to me with an analog stick. I got accustomed to it while playing Super Mario 64 and Zelda: Ocarina of Time back in the 90s, and now I prefer it for all games. I suppose I could train myself to use normal look, but it would be damn difficult.

I think Cameron's description of The Club as a 90s Sega arcade game is right on the money. I played the demo and thought it would make a great arcade game. I'm not sure if an arcade experience is worth paying fifty to sixty US dollars for, though.

It makes me think of the new Punch-Out game for the Wii. I tried it out at my local game store and enjoyed it, but I know I would probably beat it in a few days if I bought it. Still, I enjoyed playing it in the store for that short, bite-sized time. Now that simpler, arcade experiences are coming back into fashion(Geometry Wars, Punch-Out, Space Invaders Extreme), I can only wonder what a modern-day arcade would look like. I think it would be cool to go into an arcade with dual-analog or Wii-style controls, play some The Club against people, play some Geometry Wars, get in a little Punch-Out, and then enter my name into the High Score list and call it a day.
